Cut Sod

Sod Cutter I have some plans to remove a bunch of sod in my yard so I wanted to build a sod cutter attachment for the Gravely. Here is what I came up with, so far... It works, just not very well. It tends to want to come up and out of the cut. My brother suggested that the cutting blade should be at an angle, always pulling down in to the ground. I made this adjustment, and it helped, but I still need to redesign the cutter to not be so wide. I may move the cutting action to the rear of the tractor to allow me to push down on the handles to help keep the cut in the ground.
