We are slowly replacing all of the carpet in the house with hardwood floors. When I got to the stairs I realized that I could not put wood on the treads since the existing ballusters were mounted in the treads. So I decided to rebuild the entire handrail with a design that placed the ballusters in a wall. With the wall design the treads would be clear for the hardwood. |
